November 1, 2015 at 11:23 PMI think that's because of the tone change rule (video series coming out soon about this). When spoken aloud, the yī sounds like a yí if it in front of a 4th tone. When in front of 1st,2nd, 3rd tones it sounds like a yì. This is a spoken rule, so in general when writen, the pinyin should stay as yī but as a rule of thumb, this character is only really spoken as first tone when it's a number (phone number etc)

October 30, 2015 at 3:41 AMI've updated the UI. That should make it more intuitive.
FIX:
- both videos now displayed on page.
- Instructions to pause and watch dialogue in main show
- after watching the dialogue, you can just press play once again on main video and the video will resume where you left off.

October 29, 2015 at 9:59 AMThanks for your feedback. This was an experimental video testing out the slideshow/video lab so in future we probably wouldn't use this integration and would do the suggestions you had instead.
Posted on: Ways To Talk About Holiday
October 27, 2015 at 3:38 AMThis Wikipediais good for checking. There seem to be a lot of weird holidays here, and if something falls on a weekend, Taiwan usually gets the friday off just to be nice which is awesome.
China The duration of the annual leave entitlement is: (a) 5 days for employees who have accumulatively worked for 1–10 years; (b) 10 days for employees who have accumulatively worked for 10–20 years; and (c) 15 days for employees who have accumulatively worked for more than 20 years. Every worker is also entitled to11 paid public holidays.[3]
Taiwan 7 days (from 1 to 3 years), 10 days (3 to 5 years), 14 days (5 to 10 years), and one additional day per year until 30 days (10+ years).
Hong Kong 7 days(1 to 2 years), Add one day per year until 14 days (3+ years)[26] 7

October 17, 2015 at 5:26 AMHi there @theherbdoctor. I got a response from Wistia support about the subtitles issue when switching to full screen. Check my forum post for a quick fix and reason for why this happens.

October 15, 2015 at 9:39 AMI created a new category over on the forum (with links to the old Group) a few weeks ago. Perhaps hard-core users can continue what Tal started?

November 4, 2015 at 2:53 AMWillBuckingham: We're working on improving how video lessons are highlighted on the site. I'll let you know when we have a better way of filtering the two.
dong_hua_sen: ChinesePod has over 3500+ audio lessons which is plenty to get studying with, so we are providing video lessons as a way of evolving the product while maintaining audio podcasts and audio files of the video lessons as well. The video lessons are not podcasts, they are video lessons.
Thanks for your suggestions about keeping the dialogue within the main lesson. This was an experiment, so in future we would make it easier for people on the go to consume it so one does not need to pause to listen the the dialogue.
