May 11, 2015 at 8:12 AMThis is a bridge lesson which means it's suitable for users who are nearly ready to move up to intermediate level. It is designed to be a bit more difficult than regular elementary lessons to prepare for the intermediate levels. If all lessons were as easy as the most basic elementary lesson, it would be very hard to progress on to intermediate. I would recommend spending a few days studying these harder bridge lessons if you would like to progress up a level.

Thanks for your feedback. The reason for using only simplified in this video is two fold. First, like you say, the majority of our learners use simplified characters. The second is an aesthetic one. Having one sentence of traditional, then one of simplified, as well as the pinyin just makes it very confusing and clutters the video. However, we make every effort to have both traditional and simplified characters across our website in the dialogue grammar/expansion tabs as well as providing the lesson notes in both. In my personal exeirence, learners of traditional find it much easier to read simplified than the other way round so that’s one benefit. We'll bear your comments in mind for the next video and see if we can get both on screen for the next QW. Thanks
