December 6, 2007 at 3:00 AMHi RoninDC, The Chinese don't use the word 'block' like we do. Rather, to say, for example, 2 blocks ahead, they would say: 到第2个路口 (Dào dì èr ge lùkǒu) Go to the second intersection. 过两条马路 (Guò liǎng tiáo mǎlù) Pass two streets.

December 7, 2007 at 2:32 AMhi danjo, There are quite a few ways to say shirt in Chinese, depending on what kind of shirt it is. 衬衫 (chènshān) is a typical mens or womens button down shirt, with a collar. T恤 (T xù) is T shirt, of course 上衣 shàngyī is a top I don't think XYZ is Canadian, it's like playground talk, it's short for "examine your zipper" hehe
