February 20, 2008 at 9:22 AMhi jhmulk, 内 (nèi) is more formal. It can be attached to the end of monosyllable nouns, as in 校内 (xiàonèi), 国内 (guónèi) Fixed expressions using 里 (lǐ) and 内 (nèi): 里面 (lǐmiàn, 里边 (lǐbian) both mean 'inside, interior' 内部 (nèibù) also means 'inside, interior'

February 20, 2008 at 2:24 AMuser14047, to say trendy, popular you can use: 热/ 热门, 流行, 红 (rè / rèmén, liúxíng, hóng) To say the 电磁炉 (diàncílú) (electric stove) or 煤气灶 (méiqìzào) gas cooker is hot, you would use 烫 (tàng). if the car is hot to the touch, you would say 烫 (tàng). If it is hot inside the car, you would use 热 (rè).

(meaning 'to consider as' 'to treat as' or 'suitable, proper') 3) 当 (dāng) 当时 (dāngshí) at the time 当年 (dāngnián) during those years (used when talking about a past event in general time terms) 4) 当 (dàng): 当时 (dàngshí) at that very moment 当年 (dàngnián) the same year; that very year (used to point out the specific time something happened)

Nà běn shū nǐ diū le, nǐ gēn māma shuō le ma? 那本书你丢了,你告诉妈妈了吗? Nà běn shū nǐ diū le, nǐ gàosu māma le ma?
