January 23, 2008 at 3:13 AMhi calkins, Sometimes due to regional accents, the ng sound is less pronounced, so it does depend on the speaker to a certain degree. However, it is never pronounced as a hard 'g' sound like English, it is more of a nasal sort of sound in the back of the throat.
