November 11, 2019 at 6:57 AMThere is actually a difference between those two words, usually, we say 丢 as in you're throwing something in a certain direction, and 扔 means you throw an object in a random direction, but either of them can also be used as you lost something. Let's see the example here.
我把课本给丢了。I lost the textbook.
我把课本给扔了。I threw away the textbook.
我把课本丢了。I threw away the textbook.
把课本扔过去。Throw the textbook over there.
