The state of Massachusetts in the U.S. has Chinese bilingual ballots but it refuses to use transliterations for the names of the candidates. Here is the report about this issue:

Two years ago, a friend and colleague who hails from Beijing taught me to say the following in Mandarin:

"前八天我跟旅行团去玩，后四天我自己行动."

I had just returned to the U.S. from my first (and only) trip to China and wanted to know how to say "the first eight days" and "the last four days" in Mandarin. So I learned how to use 前 and 后 back then.

This week's lesson is good; it reinforced 前 and 后, words I haven't used in a while and forgot!

What do you mean 4000? None of your Chinese friends ever bragged to you about China's 五千年的文化？:D

This lesson reminded me of the Chinese math classes I took in Elementary school. For the next Qingwen, perhaps the three of you can tackle arithmetic, algebra and geometry terms: fraction, polynomial, circle, triangle, right angle, etc.
