Great lesson. As this topic is obviously popular I have an idea for a series with a breakfast lesson at each lesson. You could have Wang Wei trying to decide on what he could make for his first breakfast with Yang Jie. Bring back Lili with her husband in Aus describing the different food and what they miss about home, And who could miss Breakfast at Jizhou... Keep up the good work!

Has anyone else heard the idea that 'mixed' children are always attractive. I know a few people from Hong Kong that think this. I think that mixed children often are attractive but this does not make it a rule. Don't forget that eating icecream gives you 拉肚子 (lādùzi A0229). My grandmother was also paranoid about not getting wet and you had to always dry your hair. The discovery of germs has only recently dispelled this idea in western culture and it is obviously more persistant in China. I must say that I think that stress reduces your ability to fight diseases and getting cold is a form of stress to the body so the cold idea does have some basis for truth. Lastly Bazza I don't think you are the first or last person to have a sore throat in China I know I was the same in Shanghai.

Hi all. This is my first comment and I think CPOD is great! Keep up the good work. When my wife heard this she mentioned a chinese tong twister that I thought I could share. 湯撒 湯燙他 tang1 sa3 tang1 tang4 ta1 spill soup, soup scalds him Also many people (not me) enjoy pumpkin scones in downunder.
