I forgot....Xinjiang. not so long time ago I met a guy who was buying turquoise directly from the mines and getting it to Europe. Stange place indeed, that is. Let's see what will happen next.

:)) I would probably explore GIS usage in Antarctica...:) but I don't think this falls into "Saved by the Gong" academic disciplines theme. Maybe:) Who knows...:)

地图集（ 地圖集 ） - is atlas:) Maps in atlas will have proper legend and scale. Tourist maps generally lack these features.
Also maps usually have fixed price....:)
