But...I have another riddle in Russian press and literature China is often called "A country under the sky" (in Russian it forms one word: "поднебесная"). Is there any real equivalent in Chinese? I was wondering about that for a long time.

May 4, 2009 at 3:21 AM一二三四五六七八! That's how the mornings started on my campus in China:) where I was studying Chinese language (on the new campus where I live now, there is no such countdown). This counting is used for morning exercises and warm ups. You you should say it vigorously:)

听这个课的时候我马上想起来了我校的图书馆。图书馆里经常可以看到同学在读书。。。读什么书?读世界名人传记。喜欢:比尔盖子,克林顿 (Clinton)等等。 这个课真的与中国人现代生活和现代文化有很多关系。
CPod办公室里,你们读什么书?有没有人特别喜欢名人传记?
