hmmm...from my first year of studying:

台风来了,我的雨伞坏了 (tái fēng lāi le, wǒ de yǔ sǎn huài le) Typhoon came, my umbrella broke.

And it's another rainy day over here!

我最喜欢这个问题: “我会得到结果还是后果?”。 谢谢,这节的请问比较有意思。请问,Liliana是哪国人? 是不是美国的?她的英语口音比较特别的。

hmmm...and I prefer Mandarin! Mandarin rules. 4 tones + one! enough for me:) As well practical matters - it feels extremely bad, when your business partners start to use their dialect. Also dialects sometimes don't let you communicate. Here I totally agree with Chinese government idea of having 1 standard language.

Dialects - they are too much for me, they're also are getting us into a game, mentioned by Jenny "us" and "they". On the other hand they are a part of the culture and a colorful part of the language. But, I am not aiming at studying any of them.

I love "-er" ... when I was teaching in the South and was using "-er" taught to me at the Uni the kids had problem in getting me (sometimes I had to give some instructions in Chinese). Thanks for this little "pirate episode".
