May 12, 2010 at 3:14 AMIn our apartment building, circuit breaker boxes are located not in every compartment, but at public corridors, and anybody can freely open the boxes and turn on/off breakers. As you might know, Chinese society is heavily based on mutual trust....in some ways.

The Chinese word “科学” is not only a noun but also an adjective. For example, you can say “很科学的方法” (scientific method) or “这个方法不科学” (This method is not scientific), where the ”科学“ are adjectives. So, it can be said that “科学性” is made by combining “科学” (adjective) and “性”. Furthermore, the word “科学性” is not an adjective, but a noun, just like other “性” - words such as “可能性” and “偶然性”. You can say “这个方法很有科学性”,but not “这个方法很科学性”.

哎呀,这就是典型的“事实比小说更令人惊奇”!谢谢你提供宝贵的信息。潘基文说的英语听起来那么别扭,这是不是过度受法语发音影响的缘故? 据维基百科(英文版),潘基文除了韩英法语以外还会说德语和日语,一共“会”说五种语言。不管怎样,他大概可以算得上是一个人才,毕竟是联合国秘书长!
