Hi hitokiri,

Your name is just cool!
Its Japanese reading is "Oh Ryu-seki".
And both "龍" and "竜" are  used in Japanese.

Hi marcdevincentis,

right) 你是不是中国人?
wrong) 你是不是中国人吗?

You don't need to add "吗" when you use the interrogative phrase such as "是不是" and "去不去".

I hope that Chinesepod will later delete those bug related comments. Strangely, as far as I know, there has been no official instruction from CPod on how to point out bugs and malfunctions so far. I can't imagine how they organize those randomly posted bug reports!

Hi user28880,

How did you come up with such an interesting topic? You might someday be able to prove that both Chinese and Egnlish actually belong to the same language family. Joking aside, now let me give you several examples I've just thought of.

飞 (fei1) = fly, 妈妈 (ma1ma), 母亲 (mu3 qin) = mother. 领导 (ling3 dao3) = leader, 包 (bao1)= bag, 酷 (ku4)= cool, ........sorry, the last one is a borrowed word from English! FYI, 酒 is the transliteration of "beer", but its consonat is not the same as that of "beer".

Hi light487,
Thanks for your useful info.
I never imagined that I would need
a secret trick (窍门, 秘诀) to post a comment.

Hi light487,

I think you are right. A Chinese woman is 中国女人. I'm  日本男人, and you are 澳大利亚男人.

That is a good question. I guess, half-jokingly, “减肥” is an abbreviation of “减少肥肉” (reduce fat meat). Dictionary-wise, is generally used for animals and plants, is for people, but actually most people say “你的小狗太胖” (Your dog is too fat) when they see my lovely dog.

Somewhat (or rather) confusingly, “” has several meanings, such as fat, fatty, fertilize, fertilizer, large (clothes), and sweet (business). And it won’t hurt you to memorize the word “肥胖” (fat), which is just the right word, as well as “胖乎乎的” and “肥肥胖胖的”, for my chubby dog.

Wow, I got it. I can do this too, but I still don't understand why I can't do this without using the function. Look at other guys' commnets, there is a lot of wasted space in their comments, because they don't know about the "itemizing" function, just like me.
