Is it just me or do other people now subconsciously think "we/us/our" when writing the English word "women"......  Thinking about it, a similar situation arises when I write the Engilsh word "you" and any other English words that also have a pinyin equivalent.  Clearly been studying Chinese too long.

Thank you for teaching the 涉及到 structure.  I've not come across this before, but based on the lesson and the expansion sentences this will be a very useful phrase to use going forward.  Is it kind of like using 关于 as in with regards/pertaining to a topic?

In the expansion sentences, the 都怪我......让...... structure seems to have the meaning of "It's because I...(did something)...that...(something happened)...

Does this mean it is similar in meaning to the 因为......原因 structure?

I have needed this lesson for a long time!  It's so easy for men - you just use 先生 pretty much regardless of age, unless they're really young.  But addressing women is a minefield!  However, I do sometimes intentionally use an older term of address when a younger lady has wronged me, e.g. if a youngish lady has cut a queue at airport check-ins and no-one else complains, I like to be the one that says something.  I might throw in a 奶奶 or 阿姨 as a term of address and ask whether their eyes/brain are broken or something (I do the same for men, although obviously not with those terms of address).  Usually gets a laugh from others in the queue and on occassion some support for my view.  Even if the offender doesn't move to the back of the line, at least they've probably lost some face.  (I'm not usually this petty, but queue cutters are my pet peeve!).

Well, the exchange above certainly cheered up my monotonous evening of clearing backlogged emails!

Good lesson and great reinforcement of the recent QW on "luan" and its meaning of random!

Also, always fun to get fart references into the lesson, 哈哈, all in the name of education!

Hi all, Jenny kindly commented this on last week's QW discussion board. For convenience, I've repeated her comment here (although I notice the issue isn't as bad on this Newbie PDF compared to the QW one, since there are still the letters denoting the speakers in the dialogue that help to split up the PDF):-

"Last week, a piece of hardware that runs our Academic Management System broke and when restoring it, we used a new program to generate PDF's. We apologize for the size and display issues. We are working on resolving them"

Thanks for the update Jenny. Good to know it's just a bug rather than an intended change.

cmkchina, not sure of the exact titles, but there was one recently on formatting word documents and another on powerpoint presentations. They were both Intermediate lessons within the last 2 or 3 months.
