How would you say "My flash drive is full. I can't add any more documents."?

可不可以说:我的闪存盘满了,放不下文件。

Is 满 the best word for full? And I have no idea if 放 is appropriate here...

Actually I think those words you highlighted in pink and blue have different characters. The one in blue is 内存 (nèicún) and the one in pink is 闪存 (shǎncún). They look really similar though. The dictionary told me that 内存 is RAM and 闪存 is flash memory.

Ah, I was wondering if it was related to Murphy's Law. :)

Ah - Catherine - I hope everything goes well for you back here in the U.S.! I will miss hearing your cheerful voice on News and Features and BST!

Glad I could help. :) Yeah - it's too bad they don't have an app. But it takes time to develop something like that, and according to the guys at Skritter it is something they are working on.

Connie, so 特别 can be an adjective? I had always heard it used as an adverb, but I noticed you said "他的名字很特别。" So does that mean "His name is very unusual" - where 特别 = unusual?

Hey guiroehe! As a premium customer you should have access to Skritter Lite on the website. You just go to your vocabulary list and click the "Writing" link that is directly underneath the title on the top of the page. However this is only available online, you cannot download Skritter with a ChinesePod subscription.

I much prefer to use my actual Skritter subscription (www.skritter.com or www.skritter.com.cn in the mainland) as the full program keeps track of which characters you've learned and which you haven't - Skritter Lite is a much simpler version and doesn't do this. Also, unless something has changed, you can't study random words from your entire vocab list with Skritter Lite on CPod - only the page you are currently looking at when you click the "writing" link.

Skritter is very reasonable - only about $10/month. My reading comprehension has improved quite a bit since I started using the program in January. You can also easily import your vocab lists from ChinesePod. When I started, there was a limit of 100 words that would be imported from a list, but they were working to fix this. The only downside at the moment is that you cannot download Skritter (unless you have an Android) so you have to have an internet connection and a computer to access the program. It's all online and they don't have an iPhone/iPod app yet. But I think it's definitely worth the $10 a month (and I don't have an iPhone anyway).

Looks like they heard you Baba. ;) I love this comic. Because it reminds me of me.

I should start saying "my brain is broken" in English. I kind of like that. :)

My previous trips I've taken my HK money completely out of my wallet, but this was only two days so I left them in, but on the opposite side. HKD and RMB look quite similar - at least the 20s, 50s and 100s (although we have bills larger than 100 here and nothing smaller than 10, which is nice - wonder if Mainland will change ever since the money is appreciating?). My excuse is it was dark and I was exhausted and I saw 20 and didn't look too closely. Good thing I know the word "renminbi". :D
