many's the Chengdu night I've spent getting wasted on crappy 扎啤（sp？） and eating wacky 凉菜 like 兔头 - which is pretty good actually!
gotta say I was never a fan of the Chengdu 铁板烧考 though, too oily when compared to good old 新疆羊肉串儿

can anybody think of any other examples of "paying money verbs"? this would be a great Qing Wen topic by the way, hint hint... ;-)
