Nice post, and I can definitely sympathize. A lot of Chinese "english" becomes laughing stock among English speakers.

Anyway, 4S isn't an acronym, it's a representation of an acronym, which means "sales, spare parts, service, surveys". Although, while you missed this point, you're still right that it doesn't make much sense. I'm not sure why a car dealership wouldn't specialize in sales, and it seems so redundant to emphasize this. I don't know how surveys fits in either, because I certainly don't enjoy doing surveys. Perhaps it means that they survey the car before they sell it to you.

Well, multi-national expats are definitely not 农民工. Perhaps they can be called 老外工, haha (I have no clue, don't take that seriously).

"ni yao shen me ma" sounds a bit strange. You can definitely use "shen me" and "ma" in the same sentence, but I would reword it like this:

nǐ yào shěn me dōng xī má?

你要什么东西吗?

Do you want anything?

It's more polite than just saying "ni yao shen me". It doesn't imply that you want something, but rather asks if there is anything you want.

Can you elaborate what you mean? Like, how to use the different tenses in Chinese? And how does this relate to exits?

You would say 哪样, not just 哪. Otherwise, I believe you're correct.

Yeah, precisely. "他不回来了" = he won't be coming anymore.

“你不用等他了" = you don't have to wait for him anymore.

I never hear 奶酪. At home, we often say qǐsī. Nobody else seems to say that.

Do you say new year's resolution or new year resolution?
