That's a great idea, Bazza. I don't know if they'd have the resources to make that happen, but it would be really interesting to see. Lunetta, I understand only the tiniest bit more than you, but the clues were a dead give-away to a movie nut like me. :-)

You may think I'm nothing but hot air, but I'll be there within five years. I really left a piece of my heart there. I think it's down that alley we took to get to the bar. If you find it, keep it on ice for me, okay?

Loved the love, Dave. There's no shortage of brilliance in those offices, that's for damned sure.

I often fear that I'll never be able to achieve the level of melodrama in Chinese that I'm accustomed to in English. I wonder if the humor would translate well. :-)

LOL Amber, if I'm reading that right (and I'd like to think that I am), that would almost literally translate to "You're going to be so happy you could DIE." Haha. I love that sentence structure. I saw it first on that lesson with "你烦死了!" I've been a gig fan of it ever since. :-)

John - Sorry, man. I went into panic mode there. I was all excited to feed my head and then I got there and I was all like, "Geez, I'm dumb!" So I clicked on another link and I it was all kinds of, "Oh no! I'm REALLY dumb!" Hehe. So, okay. This is me waiting patiently. Just remember that I'm the guy behind the Idiot's Guide. Give me something I can understand. ;-) Lantian - Priceless.

Okay. I've been poking around in the Grammar Guide for a little while now and I'm afraid I have some bad news (bad for me, that is): I am not smart enough to use this guide! Understand that I am not a language student. I am not pursuing a degree in applied linguistics or anything like that. I'm just a guy who wants to learn Chinese so I can speak to people in an informal, conversational way. John and crew, you've done an awesome job with this thing. Wrestling this beast to the ground no doubt took you gobs of time and more brain cells than I have to spare. But if I had any suggestion for this going forward, I'd ask you to dumb it down ever-so-slightly. Here's a sample sentence from the guide: "General adjectives can not only serve as a sentence predicate, but also as an attributive, an adverbial, or a complement." I don't even know what some those things are in English! LOL Clicking on their links doesn't explain them at all, and without knowing what they are, the rest of it kind of falls apart. (And what the heck is an "Aspectual Particle?!") Again, you've done an incredible job here. I don't mean to complain. But a less academic approach might work better for those of us who have spent too many years outside of a classroom.

TaiPan, I'm sending you a bill for the monitor I just ruined by shooting Diet Pepsi out of my nose from laughing so hard. LOL
