I've asked this question so many times to my language partners. They normally say I should use the English word "Hi". But that just makes it confusing because if i use Hi then the other person thinks i'm going to use English.

I'm always meeting new Chinese people on-line to practice my chinese and I can't help using 'ni hao', I recently started saying 'ni zenme yang' but it now seems from this video this is a bit of a strange opening. I'll using 'NAME + hao' the next time.

I've heard the expression jiāo gěi wǒ. Which sort of means leave it to me. I'm assuming this is the same jiāo as described on this video

I was just chatting with my language partner and he said that - wǒ zài shēng nǐ de qì is a sentence really only used between couples. You wouldn't really use it if you wanted to say you make me angry to someone in public

This is the first time i've tried listening to an upper intermediate lesson, and I love it. I now think i've stayed on the intermediate lessons for too long. These lessons are great as they use almost no English. I remember about 3 years ago listening to the novice lessons.

I have a question. Jenny described yù mèn as possibly meaning frustrated as well as depressed. In English I see these meaning to be very different. Recently I've asked a few chinese natives how to say frustrated as in "I feel frustrated with my lack of progress" for example. Is there a better word to mean frustrated in this way?

I thought it was a normal intermediate lesson. Jenny spoke lots of chinese and the ba character was used.
