January 10, 2012 at 5:45 AMHi Roy,
Once you've bookmarked a lesson, a small arrow should appear with a drop-down menu. There, you can mark the lesson as studied. Is that button not appearing?

December 21, 2011 at 5:20 AMHi,
We're seeing an increase in users within China who have trouble connecting to ChinesePod. This is a local telecom issue (ie, internet filters), which is unfortunately difficult to work around. We made a change to our media host in October after some even more severe problems, but it seems like that wasn't enough. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration. In the meantime, we highly recommend you browse with a VPN.

December 19, 2011 at 3:10 AMHi Zouf,
Please help us understand the problem:
Are you trying to download the lessons through the website or through iTunes? At what stage of the download process are they failing? What do you mean by "impossible"?
Are you in China?

December 7, 2011 at 2:33 AMA lot of my foreigner friends have transliterated Chinese names, which I always hated. I didn't realize it when my teacher gave assigned it , but my own Chinese name, 何军 (He2Jun1)is exceptionally normal, and most of my Chinese friends do find it a bit weird.

December 6, 2011 at 3:34 AMHi Harpua,
Have you used ChinesePod bookmarks? Since these lessons are older, they won't show up at the top of your RSS feed unless you've bookmarked them. In the box up top with the "Shanghainese" picture, just click the "Bookmark this lesson" button, and it should appear in your iTunes.

November 30, 2011 at 9:14 AMHi Garst,
I've asked the tech team to look into the RSS troubles for you. We're not yet sure what's caused the lessons to disappear from your feed. I apologize for the inconvenience.
As for the exercises, that sounds like it could be software related. I tested the exercises several times with your account and everything was okay. Have you tried a different browser?
Best,
JC

November 30, 2011 at 1:43 AMThanks for letting us know. I've been working on some tutorial demonstrations for the site over the past few days, so it's a big help to hear some feedback about what needs better explaining.

November 29, 2011 at 9:53 AMHi again!
The free lessons can be accessed on the "Course" panel of the Dashboard, which is the default for new users. On the panel, there is a button that says "Get Free Trial Course". When you click it, the panel will fill up with lessons, two from every level. Additionally, the first lesson in every course is also available for free.
As for Qingwen and BST lessons, these can be accessed for free on the ChinesePod blog, found at the http://chinesepod.com/blog.

November 28, 2011 at 5:03 AMIf you are using a trial subscription, I believe that you can access Qingwen lessons, as well as Beijing Standard Time podcasts, by visiting the ChinesePod blog (http://chinesepod.com/blog).

February 20, 2012 at 9:08 AMHi Iaing,
If you've already got a subscription, the price doesn't change. Courses are set packages separate from subscriptions. The six-month subscription and the free speaking classes are bonus items included in the package. The extra six months will be added to your existing subscription period.
Best,
JC
