谢谢Connie, 不过我还是不太明白。“代表性”不就是“特别”或“与众不同”的意思吗? Typical 的意思好像是“很一般”

I have a question about 典型 , from the beginning of the dialogue. Can this word mean "unique" or "iconic" ? When I first learned it, I thought it just meant "typical", which is another word for "ordianry/common", but one of my Chinese teachers told me that this it means 标志性,or "symbolic"/"iconic"/"one of a kind".  I'm confused because that's the exact opposite of "typical". Can someone explain ?

sometimes having background sounds is good practice, because sometimes you have to be able to understand what is being said in a not-so quiet atmosphere. Basically it's a little bit more real

It's difficult to try to understand what you wrote. I understand the last sentence, but the rest makes no sense.

oh, I'm sure it must be the cheapest grade tea there is. I watched a documentary recently about an American tea merchant, and tea expert, who travels to China in search of top quality tea. In the film it shows him going to various tea villages and checking out the teas that the tea farmers present to him. He said that unfortunately a lot of the old Chinese tea farming methods are no longer being used by farmers , and instead other methods are being used that can yield much more quantity with far less quality. He knows all of this because he spent decades living throughout Asia and became passionate about tea from the beginning of his travels. Many of Chinese farmers use chemicals and pesticides these days, both of which taint the tea.
