December 26, 2008 at 3:50 AMThanks RJ and Frank!
yes, I've heard that a million times! "this is for your birthday aaaaand Christmas." I've always felt a little cheated by the whole thing, my mom actually used to give me a Birthday party on June 28 to make up for no party on the Dec 28. (normally its too busy and cold and there is bad weather)

December 23, 2008 at 11:52 AMlight487,
That sounds like a sweet trip! maybe I'll see you in Shanghai ;)
calkins,
I agree! I feel a little weird saying "我要..." as opposed to "请给我..." but being in Shanghai my friends tell me I sound overly polite saying "请给我-"

December 21, 2008 at 5:16 PMI feel like I am saying "老师" instead of "老是" ugh.. Chinese has so many homonym sounds to my non-tonal brain.
Is it just me or was this a very short "QingWen"? oh well...

andrew_c,
Dairy is rare within most traditional Chinese cooking but they sure love milk and ice cream! I see Häagen-Dazs restaurants all over Shanghai, not to mention ice cream almost anywhere you go especially in the summer.

December 20, 2008 at 12:58 PMLOL, somehow this sentence struck me as very funny "有的时候我比较郁闷,什麽事都不想做。但是她很理解我,所以她不会生我的气"

December 27, 2008 at 4:10 AMI think as paying subscribers we should at least be informed when these people are moving on (its their own reason for why, of course) we love these guys, and it is really is like a big family at Cpod.
We're all going to miss DA a lot!
