I think 鲁迪 is quite good. As a family name, there is no negative connotation to 鲁. We also have a famous person whose name is 鲁班。

If you really don't like this word, you can change to “陆（lù）”

which means "land/continent".

Connie and I come from different provinces. Connie comes from Zhejiang（浙江） province in the south of China and I come from Shanxi（山西） province in the north. Usually people think people from north are tall and strong, different from the southerners who are short and slim. People also think the south is wet and rains a lot, and that this is why the girls from the south look fair and beautiful. However, we think northern man are more manly.
