Cosmology ( as long as that intelectual heavy weight 陈磊 isn't the instructer) -- things like the big bang, shape of space, lifecycle of stars ... The war on terror ( could just do a non-judgemental summary of US government actions and policies since 911). I second bingge's request on computer instruction. The nuclear arms race and efforts to prevent proliferation. Recent advances in genetics, stem cell research, cloning. Highschool geometry. The fundamental theorem of calculus and definition of limits. India. Geography in general. STDs. Vladimir Putin. Tales from the three kingdoms period. Chinese naval exporations in the Ming Dynasty. Infertility. Getting parents permission to marry. ....

March 21, 2008 at 5:50 AMOk, my request for a lesson topic is, money, as in taxes, investments, retirement planning, college savings... Its not that I'm particularly obscessed, but it seems like it is something CPOD has covered very little, is probably something most people encounter, would have lots of juicy specialized vocabulary, and is probably an area where things work a little differently in China than here at home.
