June 14, 2014 at 5:08 AMMark, I do agree with you in the main. I have actually seen this TV programme before using Cbox. I started to listen to this lesson but once I realised that I would have to work it all out myself decided to switch off.
I also agree about the few media lessons whose subjects I generally enjoy

June 13, 2014 at 4:23 PMYes, if you want to be authentic sounding in a foreign language then ham it up. What sounds extreme to a foreigner can be how people really sound.
If I really 'put on' a extreme sounding French accent when I speak French it turns out that the French see nothing out of place at all.

June 10, 2014 at 7:57 PMI wonder whether Chinesepod had to get permission to use the audio from this television series. Is there a copyright question?

June 19, 2014 at 5:17 AMI find some of this logic questionable. Namely that your degree(s) continue/s to matter at a high level in companies. In my experience your degree matters until you get company experience, but then the company experience takes over.
In large multinationals of my experience, you progress on merit doing the job rather than on your paper qualification.
