I think that the English translation for one of the expansion sentences is wrong.  Instead of "... At least 20 places are missing", it should be something like ".... There are at least 20 mistakes"

I find it interesting how you often reflect aspects of my views, albeit often somewhat more strongly/extremely. But then I too am English and although not living in China have had quite an exposure to China one way and another... In another context, I have formed the view that we Brits can be much more skeptical /critical than some of the other English speaking nations.

But, (being not afraid to generalise), I am sad to see these aspects as in some ways I am in admiration of many characteristics of the Chinese - intelligent, hard working ...

Certainly some stores seem to make finding the way difficult so that you pass  through much of the store and indeed maybe buy something.

In England I remember that in IKEA (Scandinavian furniture store) the only way to exit was to go through what seemed to be the entire store ...  Most frustrating if you were in a hurry.
