Another good addition to CPOD would be a weekly 成语，starting with common ones. At the moment, 成语 only seem to be incorporated in Advanced podcasts, but something accessible to all might be appreciated.

@ john, same thing happened to my better half; he accidentally left a Swiss knife that had a great deal of sentimental value attached in a pocket of his bag. But luck had it that the security officer was kind and there was a post office just next to the entrance. He was allowed to go back out and send his knife home.

January 8, 2009 at 9:27 AMA more formal way to say 不用送 is 请留步 qǐng liú bù literally translated as "Please leave your steps (at the door)". Isn't Chinese custom just beautiful? Not sending someone off just seems quite ill-mannered or hostile. It can be done to actually show a guest is not welcome, or has offended the host. One would then say 不送了bùsòngle or ask the house servant to 送客 sòngkè (see out the guest) instead of doing it personally.

It's a Taiwanese brand called Besta and has all the bells and whistles including handwriting recognition, audio output, etc. It wasn't cheap, but pretty handy. Having said that, you can probably find downloads for your phone too. I bought a phone with a built-in bilingual dictionary without realising it at the time. My favourite is still a traditional hard copy dictionary, though.
