I know i've seen Reese's for sale, at least in Beijing. The cups seem to be imported direct from the US. I had a hankerin' for a cup, and it was its usual peanut butter/chocolate goodness, and I gave one to a teacher, and she said it was way too sweet. Reese's might be a big hit, but M&M/Mars is going to have to tone down on the sugar dial to be successful in China. By the way, Mars bars, and I think plain M&Ms are sold here. I've cut back on my candy addiction, so i'm no longer sure.

d'oh! that's right, I think Jenny said that in the lesson. Ok, oreos, coke, nestle's instant coffee, cheerios, kit kats, crest, head and shoulders....

Good lesson. I realize it would have made the interview much longer, but it would have been nice to hear some examples of successful localization, or examples whereproducts are tailored to meetChinesetastes. Like i've noticed Chinese Oreos arenot as sweet as AmericanOreos.

Nestle, Coke, and Proctor and Gamble seem to have done pretty well at localization not just for the Chinese market, but other regions as well.

I'm going to have to remember that this use of dài in 'hai2zi5','孩子','shei2','谁',''谁'dai4','带',,'啊'háizi shéi dài, doesn't translate to mean, "the kid is bringing who?

If you have enough money, you can get first month child care anywhere.

So I just downloaded a newbie taxi lesson, and to my pleasure, the old intro ("do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?") can still be heard. I guess that means that the old lessons were still kept, but Cpod just added old topics as if they were new.
