February 25, 2011 at 8:52 PMI tried saying "mate" because its cool and friendly, but then I end up putting on the Australian accent, and sound like Crocodile Dundee or Steve Irwin (or a bad Americanized version of them) and then I think every Australian is going to think i'm making fun of them, so I refrain.

I thought it was redundant to say wife, but you brought up a good question I had about what other words can you use qu3budao with. My guts would have said ony finding a wife, but i'm not sure.

March 13, 2011 at 5:06 AMI'll reiterate the suggestion about podcasts featuring live interviews with people in China off the street. This would be in addition to interviews with Cpod staff. Multiple benefits from doing this, but one other benefit is that it would give the people that haven't been to China yet the opportunitiy to hear accents they haven't heard before, and realize just how much Cpod is sheltering them from what they might really face in China.
