Although for the life of me, I could have sworn I saw something different on the exit row pamphlet that they make you read, and affirm that you can help in an emergency.

The Jenny Zhu Show was interviews, and I recall also that it was only foreigners, but I didn't listen to the interview with the sandwich/tea shop guy, so i'm not sure about his background. I wasn't clear that Mrs Wan owned the shop she works at, or just makes the baozi.
I vaguely recall that last JZS was around spring of last year, well before Jenny went on maternity leave (assuming cpod employees get three months off). In theory, JZS could have done this interview, but Mrs. Wan didn't sound like an expat, so it would have been a different subject, but as bodawei says, she's an entrepreneur if she owns her shop, and I thought she would have made a fine interview. Plus, she's native speaker Chinese, which always makes for excellent listening practice.
The challenge is that there probably isn't a lot of low hanging fruit in terms of easy-to-conduct interviews

I think the answer to your question is No, the system will not do this for you automatically. You can create the lesson topic name yourself, and then save the checked vocabulary words into that saved list. But it's a manual process if i understand what you are asking for.
