Matt -- I got an email announcing the lesson. It seems like that system is not running well. Lately I've been getting the mail ahead of the official publish date. Prior (the last month or two) they were often days after the lesson.

Forgive me if I've totally missed something, but it seems that the dialogue in the full lesson audio does not match the dialogue on the lesson page or the exchange Ken and Jenny translated/explained.

Speaking of counting money, here is a poem to see how smart we can be.

Nice lesson. The salesman was a good listening test.

Earth-diagram is easy to remember.

Q: 地铁 (subway) is earth iron. Is this more of a common way or usage? I would expect subway to be something like "underground train" rather than earth iron.

How do we say the following:

electric bicycle? 电行车 (dian4 hong2 che1)?

folding bicycle? (the Dahon bikes that fold up)

My threat was having to walk ~ a mile uphill to school. [not uphill both ways!]

Zhenlijiang

I saw one video that explained that using the right hand is traditional. I don't know. I did meet someone that is left-handed and she uses her left hand to eat.

It appears to be an etiquette point. Some cultures it is truly considered rude to eat with your left hand.

** side note: If there is something printed on the chopsticks, the right or left hand orientation becomes important. (for example: http://www.everythingintheuniv.com/chopsticks.htm search for left-handed.)
