Nice idea, and I suppose that addition might address the issue of easily-missed replies.
I'll make sure the team know to consider it when we return from the long weekend (we're enjoying a national holiday for 端午节). It may be that John will write about the notification feature over at blog.chinesepod.com.

Can anyone explain the significance of the 鸽子(ge1zi / dove)? Am I right in thinking that doves represent peace and fidelity in China? If so, I suppose the release of one might make sense as a metaphor for being stood up.

July 7, 2009 at 1:55 PMI am confused by the use of "也" in this phrase of the dialogue:
"也不完全是"
ye3 bu4 shi4 wan2quan2
"That's not totally correct"
In English, you'd not say, "Also that's not fully correct" or even "that's still not totally right", in response to a suggestion such as the one made in the dialogue.
I understand "也" to mean "also" or "still"; it seems that it's used slightly differently here.
Mmm, I'll keep my ear out for more examples like this, so that I can feel comfortable using "也" in this way - but any advice others can offer would be gratefully received!
