April 1, 2013 at 5:54 AMThere is a little bit different between 收服 and 征服/制服。It depends on the object. 收服 is always used by 法师VS妖怪(fǎ shī VSyāo guài )。制服 is to criminal。征服 is to other object.
In the dialogue, it is translated as 'to take revenge'. It is because of the context. 法海 as a 法师 was happened to be hurt by 白素贞。So when he 收服 白素贞, it's a revenge.
