I have just seen this sentence:
你终于嫁出去了。
I don't get the 出去 here (even if I know this pattern: 出去、下去、上去, and so on). What is the precise meaning of this sentence and what does  出去 has to do with it ?

Thanks, Bodawei, that's interesting. I've travelled several times in China but I've never noticed desserts in the restaurants I've been to. But I was more in the North than in the South... I had never heard about 西米.

That's right, 点 has many different meanings, such as 点名 (call the roll), 点火 (light a fire), and so on. Very interesting word, actually...

I know that Chinese people usually don't eat desserts. So is it possible to order a 水果色拉 in a restaurant ? In what kind of restaurant ? And when ?

Thanks, Vera, for this explanation. 8 years old ? Waow, so young ! Well, this maturity tag seems logical, even if I had never noticed that before. I think that "parental guidance" has not been used before, right ? This could be a lesson topic. Are those questions of parental guidance global ? What would be OK in a country and not in another one ? And how to express all it in Chinese ? Is there already a lesson about it ?

Very interesting topic !! I love this kind of topic. I was really interested by your last reflexions, because I know many Chinese ladies married with foreigners, but very few Chinese men married with foreigners (only two or three). Yes, Jenny, it does exist ! But do you know why ? I've never found out the reason...
