Some strokes:

- 横 héng (horizontal)

- 竖 shù (vertical) ,  捺 nà (right falling stroke)

- 撇 piě (left falling stroke: 丿)

- 钩 gōu (crochet).

对 不 对 ?

I would say that when you add 了 in this sentence, it puts the information in the present : "Now he is 8 months". It's the same when you say 现在几点 ? (Xiànzài jǐ diǎn ?) or 几点了 ? (Jǐ diǎn le ?) What time is it (now) ? But I agree with Iaing, no one can fully explain 了.

I think that when we're talking about subways, 线 is a measure word itself. But I'm not sure.

I think that to call a taxi by phone is 叫 车. That's this way I saw it in this lesson:

What I love with Chinesepod is that even if the topic is not one I would use when I'm in China (this one, by example), there is always some words or patterns that are worth to be remembered and studied. That's really a great job !!!

Hi Connie ! I'm always confused, why is it 中国的歌 and not 中国歌 ? What's the difference ? Do both have sense ? And what is the difference with something like 中国文学 or 中国茶 ?
