And so, we can use 们 for non-human (animals and inanimate objects) as well ? I did not know it. Thanks, Jenny.

大家好 !
Thank you for this interesting lesson. I'm not used to say 它 and I would like to know more about it. In general, I use 这, 那 or nothing instead. I've just made a quick search on Chinesepod and found this sentence in the glossary:
因为它们都很贵。
And now I'm confused with 们 too ! I thought that it was only for people. 我 越 学习 中文 越 糊涂。The more I study Chinese the more I'm confused...

Hey guys,

You're really good at French ! Your translation is the good one and "cru", (passé composé du verbe croire) has really here the same meaning as 以为.

If you need any help in French, now you know who you can ask ! But I think Lamartinière and I are not the only ones on Chinesepod whose French is mother tongue. (And that's why my English is not prefect !)

Lamartinière,

Tu as raison, et je jongle pas mal avec les dictionnaires chinois-français mais aussi anglais-français. Cela prend du temps mais c'est assez amusant.

Véro

Many thanks, Chris and Hiewlongliang ! I had never thought that it could be 加 but now that you've told me it seems obvious ! I did not know 配 pèi. I've just had a look to see what it exactly means but I did not see this precise meaning (do not always trust dictionaries). Very interesting. Chris, software Wenlin says that "Not to be confused with 陪 péi 'accompany'.". I think we'll pay attention now ! :)

Hi ! Thanks for this useful lesson. In French we say very often "and", so it's sometimes difficult to not use so often prepositions in Chinese. Could you tell me if one of these words must be used when I say: "Coffee with sugar" ?

I had always been confused with that "先". Now it's clear.  Thank you, John and Dilu. But I still have a question. Has 先 exactly the same value, the same meaning in the expansion sentence :" 回家。" ? Does it mean something like: "I'm leaving to go back home" or "I've got to go back home" ?

Good suggestions, especially the ones about chengyu and measure words ! But the second one would be useful too !!

Hi Qing Wen team ! I did not know that you needed some questions ! I think that Qing Wen is a big part of Chinese Pod interest. I'm very interested in grammar and how to use patterns and near synonyms (what is the difference between: 从 ... 到 ... / 离, 跟 / 和, ...). And I still don't know how to express words concerning time as: "ago, "since", "for", and "from". Anyway, you always answer questions that I did not think of before. Many thanks for that !!
