About the expression "受人+V"，I feel it is a pretty neutral expression used in both positive and negative notes. For the negative ones, I have heard ' 受人诋毁'，‘受人迫害“ and so forth. Is my understanding correct?

It's interesting to know the 档案 system in China. Since it seems to be accessible by companies, can you see your own 档案, if you are 人事部长? Or is there any more complicated system to prevent one from accessing his own record?

I would say the English phrase "the customer is alway right" is close enough to 《顾客是上帝》. お客様は神様 is very famous in Japan as one singer 三波春夫（Minami Haruo）often uses this phrase in his concerts. The English one seems to have a longer history than the Japanese one, but I'm not sure whether both are related.
