Thanks, but I think you perhaps misunderstand something. "Have a good day," is not a question. It is a wish, like 祝你... Is there a way to translate this sentence in a way that Chinese people will think is normal?

August 20, 2009 at 5:57 AMGot a question or two
The pdf mentions that 半夜 (ban4ye4) means both 'midnight' and 'the middle of the night'. I see you answered above that this is not really midnight but an udefined period. Is there a word commonly used in Chinese for 12 am? Perhaps 零点 (ling2dian3)?
I like that 玩的开心点儿 (wan2dekai1xindianr3) sentence. How can I say, 'Have a good day'? I sometimes say 你今天过得很愉快吧 (ni3jin1tian1guo4dehen3yu2kuaiba), but this is my invention, and I feel it is something Chinese would never say.

说实话,我的半个理论是被剽窃的,不过还是觉得有道理。

August 19, 2009 at 4:47 AM结果很明显,老王会叫麒麟们过来,他们都会用激光枪把杜老板死掉,随即老王会飘到天堂去变成一个神,然后故事结束了。

August 18, 2009 at 2:04 AMNo. It was the same for me here in Shanghai. It seems okay today. Something was definitely going on.

The vocabulary in the pdf is mixed up. The list doesn't follow the order of the dialog. It makes it harder to follow along.

August 17, 2009 at 2:33 AM嘿,我发现pdf的生词的顺序和对话的不一样,对不对?这是故意的吗?

好好,我觉得很有意思,等不及看cross-over。

What you said is interesting. I had no idea it was an American invention. It seems so natural to me that I can't imagine another language not having an equivalent. I guess if it was the underpaid guy/gal taking my money saying ‘have a good day' to me for the first time, I too would think it is fake.
Anyway, I have a feeling that Shenyajin is having a well-deserved rest for the night. I found this translation online: 祝你度过快乐的一天。
Who knows if anybody actually says it, though.
