February 17, 2009 at 3:03 AMIn China the elevators have a weight limit, just like the rest of the world. However I'm constantly amazed by the number of people that can fit into an elevator.
I used to count how many people would come out during rush hour, 4-6 O'clock.
I think 15 is the most I've seen.

In this case I personaly think the difference is fairly small. In Chinese it's not uncommon to hear such things as “我给你说。。" wǒ gěi nǐ shuō. Which really just comes out as "I want to tell you something"... or "I have something to tell you.."
In this case I think it'd be a good idea to learn this as a chunk, I often hear parents saying it to their kids and what not...

I understand the grammar more or less but always forget to make use of it in daily conversation. Some practical examples in Qing would be awesome.
