To be honest I still can't get used to when Chinese people say China has 十三亿 people, just sounds so strange to me.

April 2, 2009 at 6:29 AM感谢您 Connie老师,

Write things down.
I got a visa last year during the olyimpics and it was HELLLLLL. I'm pretty sure the Visa officers were told to say NO regaurdless of your application. They made things up for us to go away twice. We kept coming back for more and evenutally found a nice guy. Guanxi is really the way to go!!!

March 21, 2009 at 4:02 PMIt's funny how the discussion is often directed towards haggling over English words and grammar.
Who's side are you guys on anyways?...

@John
Could you elaborate? unCPod-like how?
Sure, I found the content of this lesson to be great, aswell as the voice acting (which has been awesome for a long time BTW). However, I listened to the lesson twice and then read the comments. Jenny asked if anyone has noticed the new input sentences and to be honest I did. I found them to be distracting and not really all that helpful. I personaly find the witty banter between Jenny, Connie, and yourself to be beyond helpful and more often then not sets the meaning right the first or second time around. It reminds me of sitting in a Chinese class listening to the teacher, althought not directly engaging the students they do constantly pull the strings a little tighter every lesson. The little music breaks and random bits of a sentence with little context made it feel almost like the podcast was trying to make up for something it already had.
I hadn't actually put this much thought into it until you asked, but this is pretty much what I ment by "unCPOD like".
But once again, this is just my two cents.
Keep up the good work,

March 5, 2009 at 6:00 AM@Jenny,
I noticed the tid-bits of inserted example sentences and sound effects. Although I'm ALWAYS happy to see the podcasts moving in the direction of open creativeness, I found this little chunk to be very much unCPOD like. My 2 fen.

April 3, 2009 at 6:34 AM大家好,
我昨晚看了一部电影,《疯狂的赛车》 这是个讲很多巧合的故事,我不会说太多线索,你自己去看看,但至于丢手指和黑社会人,我觉得这个电影很有关系。
而且我该早点儿通知你们,在这个电影里有一些带台湾口音的演员,有很多地方我听不明白。如果你的汉语水平不高我建议你跟中国朋友一起看,这样他们可以给你说明。
有人看过这部电影吗?
