May 17, 2019 at 11:19 AMWhen I was learning this lesson, I found there are few words which are very confusing, so I checked them and listed them below. hopefully, it can help some of you.
“强势”:1.事物变强的趋势 2.强劲的势头 3.势力或者力量强大的(强势的地位)4. 形容个性很强( 在文章中的就提到女孩儿的个性比较强势)
“依赖” 和 “依靠” 的区别: “依赖” 和 “依靠” 这两个词都有仰仗的意思。 但是依赖来形容不好依靠的东西,一直依靠什么。(在文章中提到女孩儿一直依靠/依赖咖啡来提神)
“死鸭子----嘴硬” When they mentioned the word"嘴硬” I reminded of this Chinese Idiom. It is a word to describe someone is very stubborn.(都死到临头了,你还死鸭子嘴硬)
Posted on: "I Want" Using 想 & 要
May 16, 2019 at 12:24 PMGood job!
“想” means I am thinking something in my head, while "要” means I am about to do something.
"想要” means I definitely want to do something.

May 16, 2019 at 11:52 AMNice lesson! I have the same feeling as you guys, so I prefer to go to the buffet.
however the other day, I went to a restaurant with my colleague, I saw they have a fantastic idea about the chopsticks, in this way, you can change your chopsticks head whenever you want. ( sorry I couldn't manage to upload the pictures that I took )

May 16, 2019 at 10:45 AMHi, Chinesepod!
尽量 has 2 pronunciations, when it pronounces as /jǐnliàng/, it is an adverb. it means as much as possible, to the greatest extent. eg: 我们要尽量满足客户的需求。
when it pronounces as /jìnliàng/, it is a verb. it means to the highest level. eg: 喝酒不要尽量。

May 15, 2019 at 1:33 PMThanks for pointing out the grammar!
There are some words that I want to list here:
“低头一族” (dī tóu yī zú) It is an expression to describe a group of people who are additcted in phone.
预防(yù fáng):prevetion 防治(fáng zhì): prevetion and cure.
“焦心” anxious, it is the same meaning as " 心焦”
Posted on: Rhetorical Question Marker 难道
May 19, 2019 at 12:40 PMIt is a great lesson, but i think use" 难道” to start a rhetorical question sounds a bit rude.
if you want to be more polite, you use use " 怎能“ 。eg: “难道我会不知道吗?” change to “我怎能不知道呢?”
