The first part does indeed have a lot of the sorrowful sentiment of parting, however you can't lump it all in together. The author means that he wants to leave the complexity of the human world and return to the freedom of the palace on the moon, but he is also thinking that the palace on the moon will be quite cold and cheerless, so he'd be better off in the world, where he can dance freely under the moonlight, so at this point he is feeling ambivalent.
