I haven't used ChinesePod much in the past few months due to travel/being busy, and now I can't seem to find the grammar guide anywhere. Did it disappear? Did I miss something?

Danjo, it will come very soon. Right after the publication of Duke Nukem Forever.

Could you give us a (vague would be ok) answer when the Big Makeover a la SpanishPod will take place? I'm 86, I hope I will live to see it ;-) As for the Grammar Guide, my grandchild would quip : "When it's done." (Reminds me of that Duke Nukem allusion.)

And the grammar guide provided useful examples sentences too! I´m also looking forward to its coming back.

The Grammar Guide has fallen in line right behind Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster.

I'm glad you guys are still in good humor about the Grammar Guide... I definitely would have liked it to be launched long, long ago. It is one of my first ideas I championed when I first started at ChinesePod, and it is my baby. But the situation is complex. And the tech has needs. Anyway, progress is being made. I was just working on it yesterday. And you WILL see the Grammar Guide.

John, I am only a Basic subscriber, so I'll never get to see the Grammar Guide. Are you sure that an encyclopaedic, definitive, premium, full-service-happy-ending, Grammar Guide is the only way to go? Judging by the kinds of questions asked every day in the "Comments" threads, I really do hope that CPOD will consider including some very brief "grammar notes" in the pdfs. The beauty of this is that such grammar notes don't have to be definitive on the points they cover. Just enough to let users confirm what they [em]thought[/em] they heard Jenny, you, and Ken etc saying on the "banter" part of the podcast. Thanks!

I would also like to be able to use a grammar guide. I know that Mandarin grammar is supposed to be easy, but I'd still like to have a grammar guide as a reference instead of just hoping to eventually gleen it from the podcasts.

Hello, I would appreciate any information on the progress of the Grammar Guide. Is it available yet? Thanks in advance.

legalize, No, not yet. ChinesePod is preparing to move to a new, better platform with the Grammar Guide built in. See SpanishPod.com or FrenchPod.com for a preview of what we're working toward.

I second what auntie68 said, having some brief notes on the grammer in the pdfs would be great

While we wait, here's a link you might find useful to an online grammar resource - on the page, click on "simple form interface" or "advanced form" in the "Chinese Grammar notes" section, then choose a "chapter". (It would be nice if the chapter headings indicated the subject, but the content's good once you're there)

auntie68, That's exactly the kind of thing we are actually looking at doing. I can't give all the details too soon, but I can assure you that as a Basic subscriber, you will be very pleased with what's coming...
