I imagine it could be that the business was so bad (不景气)before that the bookstore stopped doing business for a while, but it didn't go bankrupt, because the store was still there. But recently, the store was re-decorated and re-opened with a fresh new look. So here it could mean that the store has a fresh start?
But I agree it's not very precise.
By the way, I just found that 开张 has several meanings:
1, a new store starts doing business;
2, something new gets started;
3, a store makes its very first deal in a day.

When it's dào, it is to reverse the car, meaning similar to 倒过来 and 反倒 (on the contrary).
When it's dǎo, it means to transfer, change from one to another.
So 倒车 has two meanings in total, its pronunciation depends on its context.

用“妥协”时，主语一般是人，造个句：监管部门不应该在禁烟规则上妥协。用“打折”造句主语可能是物，比如说：条例的实施效果有所打折。

May 9, 2019 at 10:53 AMYou're right. 作弊 is more specific--cheat in exams, but 舞弊 can be very general, referring to illegal dealings.
One example I think of is 暗箱操作 (black box operation/ black case work) which is 舞弊, but not necessarily 作弊.

It's interesting to see that some major media such as Xinhua, CCTV, and The Global Times use 维基揭秘, whereas other media outlets use 维基解密 more often. I also notice that 维基解密 is more frequently used in daily life, but the official translation should be 维基揭秘.
A similar example is the translation of U.S. president Donald Trump. We often call him 川普 in daily life, but in official news, the translation is 特朗普.

May 9, 2019 at 10:27 AMI agree that 誓言 is mostly used as a noun. 誓言 as a verb means to promise or to take an oath.
But 发誓 might not be a very appropriate word to appear in a news, because when we use 发誓, it also indicates the consequences. For instance, 他发誓绝不将这件事透露出去，否则天打五雷轰。So when one uses the word 发誓, one has to put something important at stake. If the promise is not delivered, one will face serious consequences.
So I guess in this formal occasion, it's not very proper to use 发誓. 誓言 could be better, though this word is rarely used as a verb. Or maybe we can replace it with "郑重承诺（将）”发起国际募捐？

至于ABS防抱死系统，又是另外一个东西了，是在汽车紧急刹车时，调节轮胎使车辆保持专项能力的功能。
这些专业词汇真复杂，我连在准备驾考的时候都没有完全记牢呢，让你见笑了。
