Ya. "nǐ yǒu shěme wèntí" sounds like accusing someone having problems.

It could also be interpreted as "what question do you have?" if with a super soft tone but I would say " yǒu wènti mā" (有问题吗?) to make sure there's no further questions needed to be explained

Hi Mark,

The two sentences you brought up are opposite meaning. I guess you want to compare the following two sentences.

(1)一般人都不可能負擔得起

(2)一般人都可能負擔不起

The meanings are pretty close. However, the first sentence focus on denying the possibility. (There is no way ordinary people can afford it.)

The second one is more like " They probably can't afford it. We don't know for sure."

Good question! What Gwilym said that's rude is 再看看. (We'll see.) Adding 吧 at the end makes it softer. 再看看吧!

The term然后 is asking what happened after he said 再看看 since they didn't know if he would join them today.

没有然后了 is not uncommon, we use it a lot in response to people asking 然后呢? to mean there's no story to tell after that point.

Here is the most obvious rule. If what follows is how you would address them the 的 is usually omitted. Such as,

我学生。(我第二个学生)

我妈。(my mom)

我老公。 (my husband)

Besides this, when the two things are used together frequently的 is usually omitted.Like,

他后面(all the direction words) 中国人、哪国人. You wouldn't say 中国的人、哪国的人

有人来了 could mean one or multiple people are coming. There is no need to say 有人们

成 is used after the verb to mean "be done as ____"

The verb 隔 followed by 成 is almost only used in this "room" situation

Here are some typical examples to use "分开" and  "V成"

  • 我跟男朋友分开的时候很难过I was sad when my boyfriend and I separated.

  • 我的心被割成两半。My heart was cut into half.

情况 and 情形 are interchangeable in most of the cases, including what Constance said in this lesson.

But 情况 are used more often when you put more emphasis on the changing of the situation. For example,

A:现在的情况怎么样      How is the situation going now?

B:我看一下情况,等等告诉你。      Let me check out the situation and let you know later.

Here is a Qing Wen lesson about words that refer to "situation." Although it doesn't include 情形 it explains some meaning and other similar words.
