Posted on: Ways to Say "Stubborn"
July 12, 2014 at 7:14 AMi hate to say this but was the intro page written by a non-native English speaker? some parts are pretty awkward. Like these:
"let's have a look at many Chinese words which all can be translated into "stubborn" in English" (this could easily be shortened to "we will look at the many chinese words that can be translated as 'stubborn' in English" and there needs to be a "the" before "many Chinese words" )
"we will help you to distinguish the differences" - "distinguish the differences" is kind of an awkward phrase
Also, I had asked a question a few weeks ago which David acknowledged and it hasn't been made into a qingwen yet.

July 2, 2014 at 3:04 AMI would say "pro-nun-ciation" but I think Shanell has an American midwestern accent so it wouldn't surprise me that she said "pro-NOUN-ciation."
Just like in Chinese, there are a number of variants in English pronunciation based on country/region within a country.

June 11, 2014 at 12:56 AMyea, I think the 是。。。的 pattern here is for describing/emphasizing that these kinds of students can't intern in China.

July 12, 2014 at 12:49 PM"the" emphasizes that these words mean "stubborn" in English. it does not imply that they are covering all the Chinese words that mean "stubborn." You
i guess they are somewhat personal editorial preferences but something like "many Chinese words which all can be translated into "stubborn" in English" is unnecessarily wordy and sloppy.
