I think 领导 is for more formal situations and used to describe the bosses in white collar workplace. In China, a 老板 is more informal and a general term for anyone like the owner of a store, restaurant, street vendor etc.

I agree with you, if you they could reduce output and better organize the lessons they currently have into self study courses that would be better in my opinion

usually 遍 means like you have read the book all the way through but 次 maybe implies you tried to read it but didn't finish

this is definitely not an intermediate lesson. the sentence structure are simple and short in length and vocabulary like 忙,客气,累 are all elementary words.

well they already sold chinesepod to bigfoot ventures in 2012 which may partially explain the decline in quality and the major staff changes in recent years.

thats its ridiculous to include those at intermediate level. It seems like recently they have been "dumbing" down the intermediate/upper intermediate level lessons. I hope this is not a long term trend.
