August 24, 2007 at 7:15 AMhi wildyaks (great name BTW), Yes, you can also say 买一款保险 (Mǎi yī kuǎn bǎoxiǎn) but the meaning is slightly different. 款 (kuǎn) is used when expressing different types or products of insurance, (i.e. health, car, home). When you use 份 (fèn) it is enumerating how many of an insurance product you will buy, but not differentiating between types.

August 24, 2007 at 6:29 AMbluewombat, Yes, hehe, that's right. Using 长得很爱国 (zhǎng de hěn àiguó) (look very patriotic) is kind of like how in English we would say "She's got a nice personality" and people would perhaps take it to mean she was a little 难看 (nánkàn). 你长得很爱国 Nǐ zhǎng de hěn àiguó.
