August 22, 2011 at 12:49 PMCan some one please explain the difference between 出租车 and 打的 (chuzuche and dadi).
When asking for directions home last night, the lady suggested I get a 打的去 my home, a little difficult since I was on a bicycle. But still, this lesson has thrown me a little regarding 打的 and 出租车.

May 21, 2009 at 6:26 AM@lechuan @timsls Thanks for that. I need to simplify my review method because it's slowing my in take of new ones. Maybe I can try two playlists for a while, one for Dialogue the other for Review. I think the Reviews are especially useful if you're in an environment you can repeat aloud. (ignore my above blank comment, I'm using my mobile this morning)

May 20, 2009 at 10:59 PM@lechuan @timsls I'm always looking for ways to improve my revision methods, and your idea of Dialogue playlists sounds pretty good. Where, if anywhere, do the fix/audio reviews fit into your learning and review methods?

Isolation and darkness can help a person to focus and give much deeper thought during prayer.
I agree with jckeith, it is up to the individual, although people should be thoughtful toward others around them, or who may be about to walk in!

I think a more common word for prayer is 祷告 dǎogào

September 29, 2011 at 7:58 AM不好意思 is more for an embarrassing apology.
A waiter in a restaurant accidently charged me double, he thought the person sitting opposite me, was with me. Afterward he said 不好意思. 对不起, as jerryrock says, is more a general "sorry."
Check out the Qing Wen jerryrock suggets.
