that's the old name for Osaka, which was changed during the Meiji Era.

阪　means slope/hillside

I went back to listen a 2nd time after I read RJ's comment. I have to agree that the new intro isn't an improvement on the original one. I'm actually not opposed to keeping things fresh, despite being a fan of Amber's, but the new intro is a bit awkward

this was definitely the best Qingwen episode I've listened to in a long time (many months). I enjoyed learning how  to say abstract things that would have been very difficult to look up in a dictionary.
